Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are responsible for providing direct, individualized behavioral support to young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Under the supervision of a qualified behavior professional, RBTs implement behavior support plans, collect and document data, teach skill-building strategies, and help participants build independence, communication, emotional regulation, and meaningful participation in home, community, and program settings.

IDD Program Specialist

IDD Program Specialists are responsible for coordinating and supporting the day-to-day delivery of services within The Next Step Programs’ Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) programs. Program Specialists help ensure participants receive high-quality, person-centered support by assisting with scheduling, documentation, communication with families and team members, staff guidance, program logistics, and participant goal implementation. They play a key role in maintaining organized, responsive, and engaging services that promote independence, inclusion, and overall well-being.

Direct Support Professional

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are responsible for providing direct care and support to young adults with intellectual disabilities participating in the Explore Community Participation Support Program. DSPs facilitate community-based activities that promote social engagement, independence, and overall well-being of the participants.
